SMARTS Online Classes

SMARTS Guitar Lessons (Beginner)

Grades 5-12 and Adults

Guitar is the instrument everyone wants to learn, but is challenging to do on your own! With guitar, you can learn to play all the songs you love and even write your own music, but there are basics to getting started. In this class, you will learn how to tune and hold your guitar, strum basic rhythms patterns, and learn beginner chord progressions that will get you playing songs quickly.  This class will utilize online videos made by a SMARTS teacher combined with live online practice sessions via Zoom so that your teacher can give you feedback and direction. We've got everything from finger training exercises and play-along videos to help you build confidence as you learn at home at your own pace. When you meet with your SMARTS Teacher on Zoom, learning goals will be personalized to your interests and how you are progressing on the instrument. Students must have a six-string guitar at home in order to take this class. Only one absence is allowed.  There are only 10 spots available for this class.
