Laying a Foundation: Anatomy of a Lesson

Any Given Child, Warren & SMARTS, Students Motivated by the Arts invites you to register for the one-day Artists as Educators Seminar, Laying a Foundation: Anatomy of a Lesson, developed by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.  We are pleased to announce that the Seminar will be offered in Youngstown, Ohio on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, hosted by Any Given Child, Warren & SMARTS, Students Motivated by the Arts.

The one-day Lesson Design Seminar provides an opportunity for you to examine and apply a process for planning effective arts-integrated lessons. You will examine the components of effective lessons, see them applied in an example lesson and reflected a lesson template, and apply your new understandings to your own lessons to better facilitate student learning. You’ll receive a binder full of valuable resource materials, which documents and extends the Seminar content. Participants are expected to submit a completed Lesson Design to us one month after the Seminar.

Participation is limited so register right away. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
